Last September, Anteral delivered a planar near field (PNF) probe kit to the European Space Agency (ESA) to extend their capability of performing antenna measurements up to 750 GHz.
The kit consists of a total of 8 PNF probes.
The kit was designed and optimised by ESA for Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction. The probes have been manufactured by micromachining with micrometric tolerances in aluminium with a golden finishing flash. For the manufacturing process Anteral has collaborated with Fundación Prodintec.
The European Space Agency will use these probes in their ESTEC antenna test facilities, in particular in the planar mmwave scanner SMS (Square Meter Scanner) in support of upcoming ESA missions that will make use of the mm and submm-wave frequencies as well as for R&D activities.
Thanks to this order Anteral strengthens its relationship with the European Space Agency.
