Anteral hosts the fifth in-person meeting of the European 6G-REFERENCE project in Pamplona

Last week, Anteral hosted the fifth in-person meeting of the European 6G-REFERENCE consortium at its facilities in Pamplona, Spain. Coordinated by the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), the meeting brought together partners from eight European countries at a key stage of the project, as it enters its final phase. The main objective was to review overall progress and advance the development of the project’s demonstration cases.

The consortium is composed of CTTC, University of Twente, University of Birmingham, ETH Zürich (including the Integrated Devices, Electronics and Systems – IDEAS Group), imec, ACP Advanced Circuit Pursuit AG, CEA-Leti, Ericsson, AUSTRALO, and Anteral.

During the meeting, partners worked on defining the next steps for the development of innovative hardware solutions for future 6G systems, focusing on three main use cases:

  • Low-latency communications leveraging Full Duplex
  • Integrated Sensing and Communication: passive vs active sensing
  • Over-the-Air accurate frequency and time synchronization

The session was organized by the Anteral team, with the participation of Alejandro Astibia Bruno and Javier Jiménez Peña, and included networking activities among partners. These face-to-face interactions are essential in a geographically distributed consortium, as they foster knowledge exchange, strengthen trust between teams, and accelerate collaborative technological development.
