Anteral’s 15th anniversary

This week we are celebrating our 15th anniversary in spectacular form. We continue to grow in terms of projects, turnover, and team size—what more could we ask for?

We are very proud of the enormous amount of daily work that goes into this. That is why the first thing we want to do is congratulate the entire team.

ANTERAL: 15 YEARS BRINGING NAVARRE’S TALENT TO SPACE

The company, founded in Pamplona as a spin-off from the UPNA, celebrates its 15th anniversary, consolidating its position as an example of innovation, skilled employment, and international projection from Navarre.

Huarte (Navarre), 11/20/2025 — Fifteen years ago, a group of researchers from the Public University of Navarre (UPNA) decided to transform their knowledge into technology. This led to the creation of Anteral, a Navarran company that today has a turnover of €2.5 million, employs 26 people, and has taken the engineering developed in Pamplona to more than 50 countries and more than 20 international space missions.

Since its foundation in 2010, Anteral has become a benchmark for innovation “made in Navarra.” It collaborates with major companies in the aerospace sector such as Airbus and Thales, as well as with the European Space Agency (ESA), while maintaining close ties with the business and research ecosystem in Navarra, participating in numerous local and international R&D projects.

We are an example of how technology can be created in Navarre that travels into space and improves life here, in our region,” says Itziar Maestrojuán, CEO of Anteral.

Anteral represents the innovative, industrial, and sustainable side of Navarre: a project born in the university environment that today generates skilled employment, promotes technology transfer, and contributes to positioning the community as a benchmark in the European space sector.

Its commitment to regional development also translates into local investment: in 2024, it inaugurated its new facilities in the Areta Industrial Park (Huarte) with an investment of more than half a million euros, and this year it plans to continue growing with new high-precision machinery and equipment.

With its dual line of work—aerospace technology focused on antennas and passive components, and radar systems for smart cities and Industry 4.0—Anteral demonstrates that innovation born in Navarra can compete and collaborate in the world’s leading space programs.
